Wiggler is a character that appears repeatedly in the Super Mario series. It has a unique appearance, resembling a caterpillar, with a segmented yellow body and a flower on its head. Initially, Wiggler is peaceful but when Mario or other characters disturb it, it turns aggressive. When angry, Wiggler turns red and charges towards the perceived threat. Throughout various Mario games, Wiggler appears in different environments, including grassy fields and tropical settings, providing both a challenge and a delightful addition to Mario’s adventures.
I used seven different colors of PLA filament to accomplish this model. I printed the blossoms, spots, and eyes in multiple materials using my Bambu lab AMS to reduce the amount of work and annoyance with tiny parts. Gluing the body was the most challenging part, as the weight of each part was high, but the contact area was minimal. The feet and legs were much easier because they fit in place very well.
