The RMS Titanic is the first Revell 3D puzzle I built. The RMS Titanic, a British passenger liner constructed by Harland and Wolff, embarked on its maiden voyage from Southampton on April 10, 1912. As one of the largest and most luxurious ships of its time, it tragically struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic on the night of April 14-15. The lack of sufficient lifeboats resulted in the loss of over 1,500 lives among the passengers and crew. The disaster prompted significant changes in maritime safety regulations, including establishing the International Ice Patrol and requirements for an adequate number of lifeboats. Discovered on the ocean floor in 1985 by Dr. Robert Ballard, the Titanic’s wreckage is a sad reminder of the consequences of human overconfidence and the importance of robust safety measures. The event has been immortalized in various forms of media, with James Cameron’s 1997 film “Titanic” attaining immense popularity.
The model is very simplistic and features a lot of parts to be bent, making it not an easy model for beginners. That’s why I recommend helping children build this. The stern section is hard to fit and tends to loosen until the rear deck is in place. Also, the chimneys could be designed to have fever gaps. But don’t hesitate to watch my video for detailed instructions. Follow this link: https://amzn.to/2X6d1ME to build your own Titanic.
